Teyana Taylor called out a man backstage at the Academy Awards after he allegedly “put [his] hands” on and “shove” her.
The American actor, 35, was nominated at Sunday (15 March) night's awards show for her performance opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. While she lost out to Weapons star Amy Madigan, Taylor jumped out of her chair to celebrate Madigan's win.
But while walking through the busy crowd backstage at the Dolby Theatre, Taylor stopped to criticise a man who she alleged had “shoved” her.

In footage shared on social media, Taylor could be seen telling a man, whose back is turned and can't be seen: “You're a man putting your hands on a female. That's very rude. You're very rude.”
A woman whose back is turned then makes a comment to Taylor, with the actor reiterating in response: “Because he's putting his hands on a female. What's he doing? He literally shoved me. He was damn near shoving her.”
Towards the end of the clip, she reiterated: “Do not touch me, do not shove me, do not push me.”
The Independent has contacted Taylor's representatives for comment.

Taylor had seen success elsewhere this awards season, having taken the gong for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes. She was also nominated at the Baftas, Critics' Choice Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
A talented singer and rapper as well as an actor, Taylor was also nominated at this year's Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album for her record Escape Room.
While Taylor missed out in her acting category, One Battle After Another ended up being one of the Oscars big winners on the night. Anderson's caper took home the big prizes for Best Picture and Best Director, as well as Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing and the new competitive category for Best Casting.

Also leading the pack was Ryan Coogler's vampire horror Sinners, with Michael B Jordan beating Marty Supreme's Timothée Chalamet to win Best Actor and the film also taking home the award for Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best Cinematography.
The show also featured an emotional In Memoriam segment paying tribute to stars including Rob Reiner and Catherine O'Hara. However, many noted that stars including French film icon Brigitte Bardot, Dawson’s Creek actor James Van Der Beek, and Eric Dane from Grey’s Anatomy did not make the cut.
