Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver hits dagger three to seal win over Michigan State

Texas Tech’s stifling defense has carried the Red Raiders to the national championship game. The Red Raiders held Michigan State to a season-low 51 points on Saturday in Minneapolis, and though the Spartans made a late charge to keep the game close, Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver sealed the victory with a clutch three in the final minute.

Up four with a minute remaining in the game, sophomore Jarrett Culver hit his first three of the game at the perfect time.

After Aaron Henry scored to cut the Texas Tech lead to one point with 2:55 remaining, the Red Raiders prevented Michigan State from scoring for the rest of the game. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and former Texas Tech star Patrick Mahomes was loving it.

Texas Tech moves on to play Virginia on Monday night for the national championship – and we could see the lowest-scoring title game in the shot clock era.
