Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was hard to tackle in 2018

Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins found ways to catch 115 passes in 2018, but he also found ways to avoid defenders.

According to analytics compiled by Pro Football Focus, the All-Pro wideout forced 12 missed tackles in 2018, tied for the seventh-most among receivers.

There was no better example of Hopkins forcing missed tackles than in the Week 5 encounter with the Dallas Cowboys at NRG Stadium. In overtime, Hopkins forced three missed tackles as he put the Texans in Ka’imi Fairbairn’s field goal range to push Houston’s winning streak to two games.

Hopkins collected 1,572 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018 along with his second straight first-team All-Pro selection.
