Texans rule out cornerback Jimmy Moreland against the Bills

The Houston Texans have announced that cornerback Jimmy Moreland will not be making the trip to Buffalo for the Week 4 encounter with the Bills Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at Highmark Stadium.

The team says that Moreland has been ruled out with an illness. Moreland did not appear on the injury report for the week.

Moreland is the fifth Texans player to have illness listed as an injury designation for Week 4. The other four were linebacker Garret Wallow, running back Scottie Phillips, defensive tackle Ross Blacklock, and cornerback Terrance Mitchell.

Blacklock was later added to the COVID-19 reserve along with linebacker Zach Cunningham. Phillips was declared out for the game on Friday.

As it stands, the four inactives thus far for Houston are quarterback Deshaun Watson (not injury related), Moreland, Phillips, and receiver Danny Amendola (thigh).
