Texans release DL Derick Roberson from practice squad, sign DL Brandin Bryant

The Houston Texans are still tinkering with their personnel on the practice squad as they prepare to take on the New York Giants in Week 10.

The Texans released former Sam Houston State defensive lineman Derick Roberson from the practice squad. Houston activated Roberson for one game in the 2022 campaign. Previously the Texans signed Roberson to the practice squad on Sept. 8. The former San Antonio Brennan High School product played 17 games for the Titans from 2019-21, starting in one of them.

The Texans also signed former Florida Atlantic defensive lineman Brandin Bryant to the practice squad. Bryant previously spent the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, playing six games for the AFC East club, which gives him familiarity with Texans defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire.
