Texans present uniform modification for 2019 season

Since the Houston Texans’ first season in 2002, the team has had the same uniforms: Deep steel blue, liberty white, and battle red color scheme.

On Monday, the club announced a slight change.

The Texans announced via social media that the team will have the logo now positioned on the back of the players jersey. Not quite sure if this is the change everyone was looking for, but a change nonetheless.

Fans were hoping for a drastic change after hearing many players such as J.J. Watt say that he would like the old “Love Ya Blue” uniforms from the Houston Oilers days to return. It’s highly unlikely since the Tennessee Titans own the rights to those particular throwbacks.

Maybe more changes will come at a later date and time, but until then, the Texans have officially updated their uniforms. It just isn’t the dramatic change fans were hoping to see in the offseason.
