HOUSTON — The Houston Texans could be without linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill following the events of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. According to the team, Hill is questionable to return.
At the 13:36 mark of the third quarter, Hill was carted off the field after sustaining a knee injury. It was a non-contact injury amidst the Texans stopping the Seahawks on 3rd down at Seattle’s 29-yard line.
Hill’s injury comes a week after he set the franchise record for most tackles in a game (20), during the Texans’ 31-0 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He came into Sunday’s game leading the team in total tackles with 88 on the season.
“He is willing to do whatever it takes, a football player first,” defensive coordinator Lovie Smith said on Thursday. “Happy with where he started and whatever the role the team needs you to do.”
“In this case, it’s an increase on the defensive end so it might have taken from the reps we are giving him in the special teams game. I think it shows up in his reaction time on defense.”
