Tesco's £1 curry sauce tastes just like McDonald's according to customers

Supermarket giant Tesco is selling bottles of curry sauce which its customers say taste just like McDonald's sweet curry dip.

It has caused a huge reaction across social media with shoppers encouraging others to buy it.

Priced at £1, Tesco's own brand curry sauce was initially shared in a Facebook post and overnight gained more than 1,000 comments from excited McDonald's fans.

Tesco's curry sauce is being compared to McDonald's Sweet Curry dip (McDonald's)

According to Tesco, its sauce is described as being "warming and sweet" and ideal for chips. While McDonald's describes its dip as "sweet and sharp” with a “fruit apricot” taste and “delicate spices”.

On Twitter, user @LukeNason said: "Tried that Tesco curry sauce which tastes like McDonald's curry sauce and wow it's good."

@FisterRoboto95 said: "Apparently Tesco's own curry sauce tastes like the McDonald's one."

Other users have tweeted Tesco to share their disappointment at not being able to find the sauce at their local stores.

At Maccies, a 30g pot is free but it contains 50 calories and you have to order an item.

Meanwhile one tablespoon of Tesco’s dip contains 17 calories.
