Tesco probe after prankster's 'dangerous' meat and veg lasagna packaging swap

A prankster has taken to social media to brag about switching labels on vegetarian and meat products in their local supermarket.

The unnamed person wrote about their actions in a Facebook post which was shared in a group on the site.

Alongside a picture of vegetable lasagne next to a meat product, the anonymous note read: "Some mornings I like to pop into Tesco & switch the cardboard sleeves around on these just for fun."

The supermarket said it was investigating the message and warned of the potentially harmful consequences, reports DevonLive .

The original post, shared alongside a picture of Tesco lasagnes, reads: "Some mornings I like to pop into Tesco & switch the cardboard sleeves around on these just for fun."

One commenter wrote: "It's all fun and games until you accidentally kill someone who had an allergy."

Another said: "It's not funny and is incredibly immature and irresponsible. Anyone wanting to do this for "lols" needs a good kick up the a***."
