Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and more issue urgent Alpro milk recall

Supermarkets across the UK are now an recalling alternative milk due to undeclared allergens.

According to the FSA (Food Standards Scotland), Alpro UK Limited are now recalling part of a batch of Alpro Rice drink due to it containing oats (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label.

As a result, anyone who cannot consume gluten could risk health issues.

Although some of their products may be labelled as "gluten free", they unfortunately have been found to contain gluten.

The recall affects the 1L packs with the best before date of December 31 2022 and a batch code of L 090 2 (the affected batch was manufactured between 15:07 and 18:24).

In an update they said that the allergens were oats (gluten) and because of this, it could make it a "possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten."

This item has been recalled. (Alpro.)

In advise to consumers the FSA asks if you have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to oats or gluten, do not drink it and instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
