People in Cheshire were stunned to see a Tesco delivery van on a thatched cottage roof this week.
Photos show the van perched on the roof near the house's chimney, with a festive wreath visible over the door.
The van, which is said to hint at Tesco's new Christmas ad, was also given a festive touch, decorated with hundreds of multicoloured festive lights.
The sight attracted a crowd of locals from the small community of Knutsford who came to check out the surprising scene.
Knutsford resident Jewel, 29, said: “It’s unbelievable! I’ve never seen anything quite like this, especially around here.
"It really feels like something out of a Christmas movie.”
Alessandra Bellini, Tesco chief customer officer, said: “Seeing one of our Tesco delivery vans sat on the roof of a cottage caught everyone by surprise this morning.
"It is certainly not something you see every day, but I suspect that anyone watching ITV this Sunday night will have all their questions answered.”
