Tesco has increased the number of items you can purchase through its online shopping service as panic buying begins to ease in Scotland
The supermarket giant previously restricted the amount of items you could buy to 80 as shoppers stripped the shelves dry as the coronavirus pandemic peaked.
Purchase limits were also introduced on essential items such as bread, pasta and toilet roll.
But panic buying now appears to be on the decline as Scots adjust to the new normal way of living under lockdown.
Tesco has now increased its online basket limit to 85 items in response to this while purchase limits have been removed on the majority of products.
Limits will still be enforced on toilet toll, alcohol, pasta and hand sanitiser as stocks in these still remain sparse.
The news comes after Tesco announced that it would begin asking some customers to wait inside their cars in a bid to avoid standing in long lines.
Customers welcomed the move as the poor weather seems to have made a return to Scotland in recent days.
A spokesperson for Tesco said: “If it’s raining or particularly cold, we may ask you to stay in your car to queue – we’ll let you know when you can come in.”
Tesco's latest measures follows other major chains across the country all brought in new rules and equipment to keep staff and customers safe when buying essential goods.
