Terrance Ferguson left Monday’s game with ‘concussion-like symptoms’

Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson left the game early Monday night against the Utah Jazz due to what the team called concussion-like symptoms, according to Brett Dawson of The Athletic.

Ferguson recorded five points and two rebounds in 26 minutes of work during the 98-89 win by the Thunder. However, Ferguson logged less than two minutes in the fourth quarter and did not return.

The second-year player checked in at the 8:01 mark of the fourth quarter for Patrick Patterson but would leave the game with 6:13 remaining for Paul George.

It is unclear when Ferguson suffered the apparent injury but he did take a tumble to the floor at one point during the game after chasing a loose ball.

Ferguson was previously in the NBA’s concussion protocol during the preseason after getting hit in the head by an inadvertent elbow from Atlanta Hawks center Alex Len.

The Thunder have not issued an update on the health of Ferguson so it is unclear at this time if his status for Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets will change.
