Amir Khan takes on one of boxing’s best pound-for-pound fighters in Terence Crawford, looking for the biggest career of his career.
As he did in 2016 when he stepped up to challenge middleweight king Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Khan rolls the dice once again in his attempts to return to boxing’s elite ranks.
The Bolton fighter rejected the chance to take on long-term rival Kell Brook, instead opting to challenge for Crawford’s WBO title.
Khan has been eager for a meeting with one of the welterweight’s truly elite names, seeing his past pursuits of lucrative bouts against Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao fall by the wayside.
In Crawford, he finally has that fight and another chance to prove he belongs in boxing’s top bracket.

Date, UK start time and venue
Crawford vs Khan takes place on Saturday April 20 at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden.
It is another early start for UK fight fans with ringwalks expected no earlier than 3am.
