Tennessee Titans had K Riley Patterson in for a visit

The Tennessee Titans continue their search for someone — anyone — who can solve their kicker issue after Michael Badgley was the latest to fail at doing so in Week 1.

Before signing kicker Ryan Santoso to the practice squad on Friday, the Titans had fellow kicker Riley Patterson in for a visit on Thursday, per the league’s transactions wire.

Patterson, a former undrafted free agent of the Minnesota Vikings who was waived with an injury settlement in August, played his college ball at Memphis.

In 51 collegiate games, the 6-foot, 190-pound kicker made 77.1 percent of his field goals, including an impressive 92 percent success rate in 2019. He has never attempted a field goal in the NFL, though.

While Patterson wasn’t signed by the Titans, he will likely join the kicker queue in the event that current starter, Randy Bullock, doesn’t work out and Santoso is called upon to replace him.

Bullock will be the latest Titans kickers to try his hand at stabilizing the position when Tennessee meets the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
