A Glaswegian became worried for a woman in one of the flats opposite her work, only to realise it was a cardboard cutout of Dame Judi Dench.
Singer songwriter Amy MacDonald shared the episode on her Twitter account this afternoon, admitting the unusual sight had her in stitches.
Her friend shared the photos with her after initially becoming concerned 'the woman had not moved' in a number of hours.
However, after realising it was merely Dame Judi, enjoying the view of Glasgow, her fears were quickly put to rest.
Amy commented: "My mate was in work and she noticed a woman standing at the window in one of the flats opposite.
"She didn’t really think anything of it. She thought it was just a woman enjoying a coffee whilst looking out the window."
"She started to get a bit worried when hours had passed and this woman had not moved.
"She went to get a better view.
"Och, just a cardboard cutout of Judi Dench.
"To the person who lives in this flat. You have given us the best laugh today."
The Tweets, published earlier today, have sparked an immediate Twitter response, with one user saying: "Dame Judi looks well chuffed!", and another adding the former 'M': 'was waiting for James Bond'.
But apparently having a cardboard cutout of the Dame in your house isn't an unusual trend, with one person adding: "Haha my friend has one of these in his house.
"I can't remember why they got it but usually it's just in random places around the house.
"Makes me laugh every time!"
