Tell us your thoughts on the lifting of Covid restrictions

Plan B restrictions were dropped across the country on Thursday, January 27 and we'd like to know your feelings about the relaxation of the rules.

Face coverings have been a legal requirement in most public spaces, including shops, shopping centres, salons, cinemas, places of worship and on public transport, since Plan B measures were introduced.

However, face masks are now no longer legally required in any public spaces.

Work from home guidance is no longer in place and Covid passes for venues and events are no longer mandatory.

Further rule relaxation around care homes will come into play on Monday, with limits on the number of visitors being lifted.

We'd like to know what you think about all of that in the comments. section below.

Despite the softening of rules., council officials in Manchester have encouraged people to continue to wear masks in crowded public spaces.

And in our survey of almost 1,000 participants, 61% disagreed with the decision to dispense with the legal requirement for face masks.

Have your say on the matter in our comments section.

However, only 30% of those we asked said they would continue to wear them on public transport, with 29% saying they would continue to wear them in shops.

Only 13%, though, said they would not wear them at all.

It's an issue that has divided the people of Manchester, with 54% of people we asked in disagreement with the relaxation of Covid rules, and 41% in agreement.

Many of the key points in our survey were also split - such as 41% of people in favour of work from home guidance and 43% against - so we want to hear more from you on the changes to Covid rules in our comments section .
