Officers say teens who broke into an Edinburgh building site were "wise" to give themselves up.
Police were alerted to a break-in at the site in Merlin Avenue in the Granton area yesterday evening (August 26), at around 6pm.
Local officers rushed to the scene, assisted by heroic police dog Bruno and his handler.
Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, gave themselves up once they realised PD Bruno was onto them.
The teenagers were arrested and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (August 27).
Taking to social media, Police Scotland Dogs said: "Two men broke into a building site in Edinburgh.
"On hearing PD Bruno searching for them they made the wise move of giving themselves up. 2 arrested."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Edinburgh received a report of a break-in to a building site in Merlin Avenue at around 6pm on Monday 26th August.
"Local officers, the Police Dog Handler and PD Bruno were deployed to conduct inquiries and as a result, two males age 17 and 16 were arrested and charged."
