A teenager was dragged along a busy dual carriageway as he dangled out of the window of a car during a road rage attack.
The 18-year-old was held in a headlock by a driver who had snatched his keys during a confrontation in Atlanta, Georgia.
Video shows him clinging to the side of the car in terror as it speeds away.
The teenager, named only as Dalton, told local news channel WSB-TV 2 he thought he was “probably going to die”.
The driver, Emmitt Grubbs, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, aggravated assault and aggressive driving.
Footage filmed by the teenager’s dashboard camera shows Mr Grubbs climbing out of his car to confront him following a minor collision.
He is alleged to have punched Dalton in the face and taken his keys before returning to his vehicle.
The teenager pursued him with a baseball bat before dropping the weapon and reaching through Mr Grubbs’s window in an apparent bid to recover his keys.
Mr Grubbs grabbed him in a headlock and drove off, reaching speeds of up to 40mph while shouting “I’m going to kill you,” the teenager claimed.
“When he started dragging me, I was holding onto the car because I knew as soon as he let go, I would just fall right off,” he said.
Mr Grubbs eventually let go and “shoved” the teenager out of the car, he added.
He was arrested and released from custody in Gwinnett County on bail on Wednesday. Mr Grubbs has a previous conviction for battery in relation to another road rage incident in 2016, WSB-TV 2 reported.
