Three young men were pulled from the crash at Chirnside Park. (ABC)

A teenage boy has died in a fatal crash at Chirnside Park in Melbourne's north-east.

Police said a car crashed into several parked vehicles on Edward Road around 2am on Saturday before it burst into flames.

Officers and witnesses pulled three males from the burning car.

A 16-year-old Montrose boy died at the scene, while a 16-year-old boy who was the front seat passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver — a 16-year-old Chirnside Park boy — also remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and have asked for any witnesses or drivers with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
