Teenage boy, 15, tragically dies after being found unconscious in Dublin

A teenage boy has died after being found unconscious in Dublin last night.

The heartbreaking incident happened when a woman out walking discovered the 15-year-old unresponsive in Ballycullen at around 11pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and took the young man by ambulance to Our Lady's Hospital in Crumlin, where he was later pronounced dead.

The youth is believed to be from the nearby Tallaght area.

A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live a post-mortem would determine the course of the investigation into the teen's tragic passing.

She said: "Gardaí responded to reports of a male youth found unresponsive in the Ballycullen area, Dublin on the 20th May 2020 at approximately 11:00pm.

"Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene. The male youth was taken to The Children’s Hospital, Crumlin by ambulance where he later passed away.

"A post-mortem is due to take place, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation. The local coroner has been notified."
