Teen girl missing for nearly a week may have travelled to Aberdeen

A teenage girl who has been missing from England for nearly a week may have travelled to Scotland, with a police search now underway in a desperate bid to find her.

Shahrin Jannat was last seen at around 7.30am on Thursday, September 22, in the West London area, but has failed to make contact with loved ones since. Her disappearance has sparked concern among officers.

The 15-year-old is now believed to be in Aberdeen city centre, and members of the public are being asked to keep a look out for the youngster.

Shahrin is described as 5ft1 tall, with long dark hair and may have been carrying one or two rucksacks when she vanished. She is not currently wearing her glasses, as shown in the photo.

Anyone who may have seen Shahrin since this time, or has any information which could be relevant to ongoing search efforts, is being urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number PS-20220927-3408.
