A teenager was chased by police after allegedly smashing the window of a patrol car in Belfast.. while an officer was inside.
Police said they chased a teen through Great Victoria Street station before a suspect was apprehended on a Glider bus.
A spokesman said: "Every now and again our MT guys bring us a nice shiny new car to patrol in. We like nice shiny new cars (especially ones with a working radio) so you can only imagine how annoyed we get if they get damaged or taken off the road.
"We get particularly annoyed when someone decides to purposely smash them up for no reason, and that's exactly what happened today.

"What this particular youngster didn’t realise was that there was a police officer sat in the vehicle when he decided to smash the window and run off.
"He was chased on foot through Great Victoria Street station where he jumped onto a Glider bus, only to get shut in the bus by staff until he was in cuffs.
"He’s away off to custody now, probably not how he though his evening would pan out."
