Teen boy rescued from water after falling into harbour near Edinburgh

A 13-year-old boy was rescued by emergency services after falling into water in Edinburgh today.

Police, fire, rescue teams and the Scottish Ambulance Service all raced to the scene at Granton Harbour following reports a teenager had fallen in the water at around 2.15pm, July 28.

Images show multiple emergency vehicles carrying out the rescue mission.

The teen was later treated by paramedics at the scene, near to the Yacht Club.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.15 pm on Tuesday, 28 July, 2020, emergency services were alerted to a teenage boy having fallen into Granton Harbour near to the Yatcht Club.

“The 13-year-boy was rescued by SFRS and was then treated by SAS.”
