I rag on myself after bad weeks, so I guess I'm allowed to brag about starting 10-0 last week. (A 10-team parlay pays 825-1, by the way, the same odds as an NFL official getting a roughing-the-passer call right.)
I whiffed on the last two games in part because Syracuse refused to let Clemson run out the clock. The wonderfully named Chez Mellusi scored from 57 yards out to torpedo a Syracuse plus-28 push. Oh, well. There's no crying in this column.
