Anthony Head’s peers post touching tributes
With such a fun career, it’s not hard to find someone with a kind word to say about Head. James Marsters shared some time with his castmate on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The tribute he penned is nothing short of warm.
“There’s a hole in the World. Anthony Head has passed on from us. He was an unflaggingly kind and steady presence on the set of Buffy, and the best actor in the cast,” Marsters recalled on Instagram. “He was the best of us. I was lucky to have known, and learned from him. He left the world a better place for his presence. Thank you Tony for all you gave.”
The Spike actor was joined by a lot of voices online. Matt Lucas never dreamed he would be able to get Head aboard Little Britain. The creator shared some lovely thought about their time working together.
“I am very sad indeed to learn of the passing of Tony Head,” Lucas typed on social media. When we were casting Little Britain, we were looking for a ‘Tony Head-type’, because we never imagined for a moment that the man himself would be interested, but he was.
Lucas continued, “Lucky us. He was unfailingly brilliant, and always so kind and warm. My heart goes out to Daisy and Emily.”
Our thoughts are with the Head family at this time.
