Oxidised iron: Partial view of a rusty thresher. This machine lies abandoned in a field near our house, I pass it often on my walks but I waited for better weather and a warm evening sun to shine on it for capturing it with my camera.

Grandparents copper kettle: Kept on the hob and was black when I got it. In my minds eye I can still see my grandmother touching her gold wedding ring, using it as a heat conducter, to the kettle to see if the water was hot enough.
