Tech guru explains why your iPhone battery is draining so quickly - and how to stop it

If you have noticed that your iPhone battery seems to drain completely then you might be in need of this nifty trick revealed through a recent TikTok clip. Social media user @ambre_skye is something of a tech guru who shares neat hacks for iPhone users and her most recent tip will get your phone working much more efficiently.

In the tutorial video, she explains that your battery could be draining faster as there might be a lot of webpages open in the Safari app, so she has found a neat way to stop there from being a pile up of open pages.

In the app, it is possible to ensure that all the webpages close after a certain amount of time to stop the phone wasting energy in keeping them open in the background.

And the best bit is that when this is activated, you will not need to worry about closing any pages as the command will do that for you - in turn improving your phone's performance.

To set up the neat hack on your phone and get the Safari pages to close automatically, open your iPhone Settings app. Scroll down and tap Safari.

Scroll down again and tap Close Tabs. Select from the menu whether you want tabs to close after one day, one week or one month.

The savvy video creator also recommends closing your Safari tabs after just a week to ensure good efficiency.

Many iPhone users were quick to comment their appreciation of the clip with many saying they had just set up the command themselves.

One person wrote: "Yes! Great tip!."

While another said: "That's a first! Just did it."

A third penned: "Just did it. Thanks!!"

So, if you find your phone draining battery then keep an eye on how many pages are open in Safari as that could be the answer.
