Team news hint spotted as Frank Lampard calls up five wonderkids to Chelsea training

Chelsea are preparing for Sunday's FA Cup third-round tie against Morecambe.

The Blues, who were runners-up in the competition last season, will go into the game at Stamford Bridge hoping to return to winning ways after losing their first fixture of 2021 at home to Manchester City last weekend.

As the two clubs are separated by three divisions, Chelsea will be expected to overcome the League Two opposition on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the game in west London, the first-team squad have been put through their paces at the club's training base in Cobham by Frank Lampard and his coaching staff.

Youngsters to get chance in FA Cup versus Morecambe

Reece James was one notable absentee as he's sidelined with the hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since the Boxing Day defeat away at Arsenal.

According to Premier Injuries, Andreas Christensen is Lampard's only other concern ahead of the cup tie.

Sunday's game presents the Blues head coach with a chance to rest key players with a London derby against Fulham on the horizon and that could mean a chance to field some of the club's most promising youngsters.

As revealed by @CarefreeYouth on Twitter, Tino Anjorin, Lewis Bate, Henry Lawrence, and Tino Livramento were among those called up by Lampard for Wednesday's training session.

And there was also an inclusion for Jude Soonsup-Bell who took to social media and uploaded an image of him alongside Mason Mount from the session.

The forward turns 17 on Sunday and a first-team debut would be a great way to celebrate.

Given that Soonsup-Bell trained with the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Thiago Silva may just be a hint into Lampard's team selection plan for the cup tie.

Judging by the response from some Chelsea fans to Soonsup-Bell's social media post, they are keen to see him make his senior debut on Sunday.

@CFCYahya said: "Gilmour, Kai, CHO and you featuring vs Morecambe would be the dream."

@NiiNiiFC said: "Hoping for that Chelsea Debut on your Bday this Sunday!"

@CFC_Raf said: "generational talent."

@Siya11592083 said: "Could make his debut at 17 just like Calum did."

@CFCPaul__said: "Future star."
