Taylor Swift fans say change in Era’s tour setlist hinted at her 'split' with Joe Alwyn

Fans of singer Taylor Swift have taken to social media following recent reports that she and Joe Alwyn have broken up. They have also speculated that the break-up occurred over a week ago after Swift switched a song from her tour setlist.

The ‘All Too Well’ singer and the British actor are said to have split according to multiple sources, ending their six year relationship.

Taylor, 33, is currently on the US leg of her Era’s tour which includes a plethora of songs from some of her most iconic albums, however, a recent change in her setlist has sparked speculation from fans.

Swiftie’s reckon the ‘Shake it Off’ hitmaker split from the ‘Conversations With Friends’ star on March 31, when she sang ‘The 1’, a break-up song on her ‘Folklore’ album for the first time ever on stage.

It replaced ‘Invisible String’, which also features on the same album, which is about soulmates who are being drawn together by fate.

Taking to Twitter, @celestialswiftt said: “hold on cause taylor switched from invisible string (a song about hopeful love) to the 1 (a song about past love) on the set list…”

@s0ttluvr tweeted: “taylor changing the setlist to sing the 1 instead of invisible string rly tells us everything we need to know.”

@buckleupjazz added: “That's clearly why she swapped out Invisible String for The 1, right?”

Another fan, @ShifaMuhammad_, tweeted: “dont wanna read into her switching to the 1 instead of invisible string but like…”.

@Evromore said people “were already speculating” as “they haven't been seen together since january-ish”, “he hasn't been to tour” and “he deleted pics with the cats.”

Entertainment Tonight was first to report the news of the break-up on April 8, however it has also been reported by CNN as a source close to Swift said: “Taylor and Joe broke up a few weeks ago. They simply grew apart and plan to remain friends.”

Neither Taylor or Joe have yet commented on the reports.

UK fans have been excited by reported sightings of the 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker, who is understood to have flown over from the United States to film a music video.

The Grammy and Emmy Award-winner is believed to have jetted into Liverpool last week during a break in her The Era's Tour after three sell-out shows in Arlington, Texas, finishing on April 2. Her next show will be in Tampa, Florida, on April 13.
