Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were married at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday evening.
Swift’s publicist Tree Paine confirmed the wedding had taken place in a statement, also revealing the ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler.
Paine said the couple went without bridesmaids or groomsmen at a star-packed ceremony in New York.
NFL star Kelce had his brother and podcast co-host Jason as his best man, while Swift’s brother Austin served as her man of honour.
A billboard outside the venue read “JUST&T MARRIED” after the ceremony took place.
Both the bride and groom wore outfits designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture, with custom-made shoes by Christian Louboutin.
The couple were reported to have invited around 1,000 guests – with a string of stars seen entering the arena ahead of the event.
They included Zoe Kravitz, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Jack Antonoff, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Camila Cabello, Dakota Johnson, and Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn.
Other celebrity guests included the Haim sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana – as well as Kelsea Ballerini, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon and Graham Norton.
In October 2025 Swift made her first TV appearance on his BBC talk show since her engagement, where she jokingly told the host she was planning on inviting “anyone I’ve ever talked to” to her wedding.
Swift and Kelce had given little away in the build-up to the ceremony and there was a notable lack of social media posts from guests once they had entered the arena.
However following the event, Nelly became the first celebrity guest to post about the celebrations on social media.
Sharing a clip to his Instagram Stories from inside a limo with his wife Ashanti, the rapper wrote: “Shout out to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce!! Wedding was incredible.”
The video showed the couple dressed up for the occasion – with Nelly wearing a white tuxedo and his wife in a silver gown – as they headed home.
On Friday night the Empire State Building also joined in on the celebrations, lighting up in blue in a nod to the bride.
Sharing footage of the skyscraper, the building’s Instagram account wrote: “Her something blue.”
Madison Square Garden had been the epicentre of extensive and lavish preparations over the last few days and black SUVs were seen pulling up to white tents stationed outside the venue, whil Bridget Jones actor Grant was pictured wearing a black suit with a bow tie walking towards the arena.
Crowds of fans and members of the media have gathered outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of stars entering the glittering event as uniformed police officers stood by and police vehicles drove past.
Photos from inside the arena show decor made up of peach-coloured roses, while exterior aerial shots show the venue was lit up with pink lights.
Ahead of the wedding, the pair donated 26 million dollars (£19.4 million) to 20 charities including nine food banks, an animal cruelty organisation, seven educational programmes, and three children’s hospitals.
Dolly Parton jokingly asked Swift and Kelce if she can have their first-born child as she thanked them for their pre-wedding donation to her charity.
Parton’s Imagination Library, which was set up under the 80-year-old’s charitable Dolly Foundation, posts free books to children every month from birth until they are five years old.
After months of speculation about where the couple – who got engaged in August last year – would get married, a law enforcement official briefed on the security plans told the Associated Press the couple would host a smaller rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening before getting married at the arena the next evening.
However, the Daily Mail reported that a private wedding ceremony would take place at the arena on Thursday evening, with a lavish party to follow on Friday.
The event will also be taking place over the fourth of July weekend, which marks 250 years of US independence.
Over the years, Swift has regularly celebrated the July 4 holiday by hosting large parties.
New York City’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, confirmed that a permit was filed for a large event.
“We are fully prepared. There isn’t anything to share beyond that,” he said.
Swift and Kelce, both 36, announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post, which read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Their romance began in 2023 after Kelce publicly announced on his podcast that he was interested in Swift, which she later said was a “wild, romantic gesture”.
