Australian fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck has wasted no time making her mark on the multi-format women's cricket series against India.
Thrown the new ball upon her return for the Australians for the first over of Thursday's washed-out Twenty20 international on the Gold Coast, Vlaeminck steamed in and delivered a huge no ball.
Two balls later she was slashed over cover for six by Indian opener Shafali Verma.
The all-action start appeared to get to the TV broadcast, with her next delivery clocked at an unlikely 145km/h.
While that was clearly an error, Vlaeminck was still regularly up and over the 120km/h mark in her first international appearance since April after foot and Achilles injuries, and was unlucky not to snare a wicket in her four overs.
"There's no error in that whatsoever," Vlaeminck replied deadpan, when told about the TV speed gun reading.
"No, I think the broadcast might have pumped that up a bit.
"I felt good. The last couple of sessions in the nets I started to get some rhythm back and it felt good out there.
"There was kind of a lot happening and I kind of got caught up in the moment but it felt like they were coming out well and hopefully I can continue that throughout the series."
The no-result on Thursday means Australia head into this weekend's two T20Is knowing a win in either will wrap up the multi-format series against a resolute Indian team.
Having missed the ODIs and last week's Test, Vlaeminck says she's willing if needed to feature in the back-to-back matches at Metricon Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
"That's something that we'll talk about in the next couple of days," she said.
"I obviously want to play every game of cricket I can so I'll be putting my hand up and we'll see what happens."
