Mega Aussie influencer Tammy Hembrow has opened up about how “tough” it is having such a highly publicised love life following her shock split from ex-husband Matt Zukowski.
In case you’ve been out of the loop with the Aussie influencer world, Hembrow made headlines earlier this year after she announced that she and Love Island AU star, Matt Zukowski, had split after seven months of marriage.

Since then, the entrepreneur’s love life has been under the microscope, especially when she was linked to AFL star Bailey Smith. However, in a recent partnership with Tinder, Hembrow has since confirmed that she’s single and “back out there” to find her new crush.
(Lowkey, genius marketing).
SponCon aside, Hembrow recently got candid about her love life, especially how she’s navigated it in public.
Speaking to Nova’s Mad About You podcast — hosted by Jade Tunchy and Lachie Brycki — admitted that the media coverage surrounding her love life has taken a toll on her mental health.
“I don’t look up my name. I don’t have Google Alerts. I literally don’t look,” Hembrow said.
“Occasionally, a friend or someone will send me something, and most time I’m like, just don’t send me this. Because I feel like it honestly does impact your mental health, like, having, especially when it’s stuff that’s so not even true. It’s like, that’s literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
“Like, pretty much all the freaking headlines are all completely wrong. I’m like, what?”
Hembrow highlighted that it was “tough” having such a public love life, especially at the start of her and Zukowski’s breakup, adding it was a “weird space” to be in when people were speculating their split before their announcement.
“Yeah, it’s tough, especially, dealing with my relationship stuff so publicly, my breakup, my divorce, I’m going through now,” Hembrow shared.
“I feel like now I’m sort of at a point where I couldn’t care less what anyone says about anything. But I feel like in the beginning, when I was navigating the breakdown of my relationship, it was especially tough then, because people were commenting, ‘Oh, she’s not wearing a ring’, and this and that.
“I was just dealing with it in the moment myself and having people all comment on stuff, sort of like, it was just a really weird space to be in, and I got to a really not great place mentally.”
The Aussie influencer went on to say she thinks the public “forget [she’s] a normal girl” and that people making assumptions about her love life is difficult to deal with.
“I’m just like a normal person, and like, I am just going through normal people will go through,” Hembrow added.
“People have no idea about anything.”

When things get hard, Hembrow admits that she leans on her family, who “always rally around” whenever someone goes through a rough patch.
“I try to remind myself it’s a moment, it’s a wave, and to just go with it. It may be going down, but it will come back up, it’s a part of life,” Hembrow shared.
Reflecting on her breakup with Zukowski, Hembrow admitted “shove down” her emotions rather than deal with the hurt, which “messed [her] up a lot”.
“I feel like the minute I let it all out and let it all go, I started actually healing and feeling so much better. So I feel like, just riding the wave and it’s a part of life,” Hembrow shared.
After a whirlwind romance, and a brush with the WAG life, it appears that Hembrow has entered a new era of being a healed it girl, and we’re obsessed with what’s next!
