Tammy Girl makes a comeback on ASOS with a host of 90s and Y2K fashion favourites

Ever miss that inflatable handbag you used to rock quarter of a century ago? How about those stylishly, comfortable cargo trousers or chunky Buffalo-style shoes?

It's a well-worn adage that if you hold onto something in your wardrobe long enough then it will eventually come back into fashion and, judging by high street trends, 90s and Y2K clothing is currently in vogue. It is fitting, then, that era-defining brand Tammy Girl has made a comeback.

The store, popular with tweens and teens looking for a school disco outfit in its heyday, has been reborn online where products can now be found on ASOS. There are currently 99 items listed on the popular shopping site, with additional nostalgic favourites to those mentioned above including baby doll dresses, grunge crop tops, mini skirts and Clueless-inspired check items.

Some of the products available even carry the iconic Tammy Girl logo, such as the fast-selling inflatable bubble tote bag, which costs £24 and can be bought in either purple or grey. It also comes with a pump, allowing for more discreet inflation than was often the case back in the day.

The comeback is targeted at those who remember Tammy the first time around, so all the online clothes come in women's sizes and, even if you don't want to recapture your 90s look, it's still worth visiting the website to have a chuckle at the fashion shots with models using props such as giant vintage camcorders and Motorola Razr flip phones. Prices currently range from £4.80 (for a skinny grunge Y2K neck tie in the sale) to £55 (for a pair of chunky ankle boots with chain detail). Sadly, as yet, there is no sign of a return for the much-loved Tammy Girl sticker photobooth!
