MADURAI: After a gap of two years due to Covid-19, the annual examinations for students of classes VI to IX in state board schools will be held from Friday to May 13.
Meanwhile, private schools are hoping to complete the exams, especially for primary classes, at the earliest.
According to the instructions of Madurai district chief education officer (CEO) R Swaminathan to school heads, the examination on Tamil language will be held on Friday.
“For Class I to V, private schools have been given their own discretion to conduct exams. Parents are also looking for the culmination of the academic year in view of the scorching summer season,” said M Senthilnathan, president of Private Schools Correspondents’ Confederation.
