I try not to let the Premier League into my life but football has certainly provided its share of shocks in the last two days what with Manchester City becoming the richest football team in the world overnight and then Kevin Keegan quitting an hour or so ago.
Actually, the latter's not much of a surprise at all. At least he'll have more time to devote to racing now. He wouldn't go far wrong following the Guardian naps and Elusive Hawk will attempt to become the eighth winning best bet in a row in the 4.30 at Southwell this afternoon.
Goodwood is a more interesting card and I'm going there for today's online tip. The suggestion is 3.10pm Lethal Glaze in the nursery handicap. The form of his Salisbury fourth is working out and he is highly likely to be suited by the longer trip.
3.15pm Pity Frankie's cat
Frankie Dettori didn't start the day in the best of moods at Goodwood apparently. His mood will be even darker now as he went for one ride at the track and was caught on the line having led from flagfall. His mount was caught by Lethal Glaze, which was good news for those who backed our selection.
