Follow a sprinter in form may be a well worn cliche, but it should hold up today when Crimson Fern (3.55) seeks to follow up her recent Goodwood success at York. The filly gets in here without a penalty, and results at the last York meeting suggest centre-track is the place to be on the straight course. Crimson Fern, drawn two, has plenty of pace amongst those around her towards the far side.
Reve De Soleil (4.35) shaped well on his debut when fourth at the Dante meeting. The form of that race has already been boosted and normal improvement should see Reve De Soleil get off the mark in a race of this nature.
A Derby entry for Rock Peak (4.10) proved well wide of the mark, but Hughie Morrison's colt looks to have found his level in handicap company for the first time at Goodwood.
