Talented Cleland stitcher creates face coverings, raising cash for charity

A stylish stitcher from Cleland created a selection of fab face coverings to raise cash at a Wishaw charity shop.

Doha Tahri Joutey Hassani donated the masks to the British Heart Foundation shop in Wishaw with the designs incorporating the poppy.

Doha said: “Everybody is having at least one person that has served as a military soldier, that day is a valuable occasion to remember our soldiers who gave up their lives, that their children can have a better future.

“Also, I don’t want to miss any occasion where I can raise awareness about how important is to stick to the government safety guide line by wearing masks to keep a safer Scotland.

“I’m calling them masks of of hope to stay hopeful that we will definitely defeat Covid-19 together and have a brighter day, a day where science can help and the researches are successful, a day where our children can go to their schools and spend their days safely, a day where we will not have to worry about our elderly being infected and a day where our economy can even get better and stronger.”

Doha has already made around 50 masks which were sold at the Cancer Research UK store in Wishaw Main Street.
