While WWE 2K25 still has one last piece of DLC hitting this month, the focus is already shifting toward what comes next for the wrestling series. According to Take-Two Interactive’s most recent fiscal earnings report, WWE 2K26 now has an official release window — and players won’t be waiting long.
The report, published to X by SmackDown Hotel on November 6 (h/t Athlon Sports), lists WWE 2K26 as a Q4 FY2026 title for Take-Two, which places its launch somewhere around March 31, 2026. This lines up with the late-winter, early-spring release schedule that the WWE 2K series has adhered to since WWE 2K22. In short, one should expect 2K26 to drop right in the thick of WrestleMania season.
When To Expect More Information About WWE 2K25
The timing of the announcement makes sense from a timing standpoint. WWE 2K25 is closing out its DLC roadmap with one last drop — the Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack, launching November 12. It features five classic legends: Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Junkyard Dog, Paul Orndorff, Sid Justice, and Tito Santana. Once that pack goes live, 2K25 effectively concludes its live support and transitions into maintenance mode.
As of right now, no concrete details regarding WWE 2K26 have emerged. However, Take-Two’s report indicates that “news to be revealed shortly,” meaning the first real look at WWE 2K26 could land sooner than expected, potentially before the end of 2025. That said, it could also take a bit before we get any kind of real look at what 2K has in store for its next WWE title. Earlier this year, fans weren’t given much information about WWE 2K25 until January, coinciding with Monday Night Raw’s debut on Netflix. And even then, it was simply confirmation that news on the game would soon be coming.
If WWE 2K26 follows past release patterns, players can likely expect refreshed arenas, graphical enhancements, new MyRISE content, updated Universe and GM features, and a large post-launch DLC roadmap. 2K25 received steady updates and generally positive reception from players, so the studio will now be working to build on that momentum.
Let’s just hope that The Island is either revamped or redesigned entirely.
