Take our Big Toon Survey: We want your thoughts on the 2020-21 campaign

It's been another long, hard season for Newcastle United on and off the pitch. With safety secured and the 2021-22 pre-season on the horizon, we want your reflections on the last nine months and your thoughts on the future.

The well-documented takeover saga still isn't resolved and on the pitch Steve Bruce's team failed to find enough consistency to deliver a much talked about Top 10 finish.

After a promising start to the campaign away at West Ham, good results and performances were fleeting. In early December a Covid outbreak forced the cancellation of Newcastle's trip to Aston Villa and a long hard winter was endured with just one win coming in 12 games.

Steve Bruce weathered the storm, the return of Allan Saint-Maximin and the arrival of Graeme Jones and Joe Willock helped, but further injuries in February to key players Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson and Saint-Maximin again left Newcastle in serious danger of the drop.

A disastrous 3-0 defeat away to Brighton, coupled with the resurgence of Fulham, made for a nervy international break. But Newcastle's form completely turned around from April onwards.

Four wins in eight, and two draws secured safety and avoided a dreaded relegation showdown match against Fulham in West London on the final day.

There really is no such thing as a normal season on Tyneside and 2020-21 has been no exception.

Take our survey below and we'll bring the results early next month.

What have been your main takes from the 2020-21 season? Where do Newcastle go next? Is there something to build on for 2021-22? Let us know in the comments below
