T.Y. Hilton, Malik Hooker throw first pitch at Indy Indians game

Though they may not be known for their arms, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and safety Malik Hooker each threw out a ceremonial first pitch at the Indianapolis Indians game on Friday.

Fortunately for the duo, they won’t be included on any reel that features the worst first pitches of all time. Hilton’s throw was a little high but certainly catchable while Hooker gave a nice floater over the plate.

Here’s a look at their first pitches:

This was a part of the Colts community outreach called “Colts At Bat,” which “provides family-friendly activities for fans attending the game, including player autographs and photos prior to the first pitch, cheerleader autographs and performances, Colts official mascot “Blue,” and free Colts giveaways.”

There was even a heart-warming story about Hilton and the children that wanted an autograph before the event. Obviously, there is a time limit on the autograph session and a long line to wait in, which means a lot of kids don’t get a picture or a signature.

However, Hilton took the time to go down the line and give a high-five to the children waiting in line as he left, simply to show an act of kindness that they weren’t forgotten.

The next event for the Colts is the “Colts Fan Fest” on June 5 at Muncie Central High School and will include cornerback Pierre Desir and linebacker Darius Leonard.
