Swansea City claim Andre Ayew Instagram hack after post 'confirming' move away from club

Swansea City have claimed that Andre Ayew's Instagram account has been hacked, after a post emerged suggesting the striker was set for a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

A post uploaded to Ayew's official Instagram page on Tuesday afternoon included the badge of the Turkish giants, where he spent last season on loan, along with a caption written in Turkish.

Loosely translated, the second part reads: "On my way back to Fenerbahce."

However, the club was swift in responding to the post on Ayew's Instagram, which currently boasts 424,000 followers.

City tweeted: "Unfortunately, Andre Ayew's Instagram account has been hacked.

"We aim to solve this issue with Instagram as soon as possible."

At present, there is not believed to be any concrete interest in the striker, although Swansea are likely to listen to any big money offers that may come in.

Ayew has been in good form for the Swans this season, having netted 11 goals in 25 games in all competitions, and was recently nominated for the Championship's player of the month award.
