Those who tune in to Good Morning Britain on a regular basis may have been surprised as they switched on Friday's show as Susanna Reid made an unusual appearance. The presenter is usually seen hosting the show from Monday to Wednesday, and maybe sometime on a Thursday.
But Friday's show is usually hosted by Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard. However, it was all change today (October 21) as Kate, Susanna and Adil Ray brought a 'special' version of the ITV daytime show to screens. But Susanna, 51, ditched the comfort of the studio to join in presenting the programme live from Number 10 Downing Street.
As the show opened from inside the ITV studios, Kate, 55, and Adil, 48, welcomed viewers to the show as they discussed the biggest headlines in the news this morning.

But Susanna made an exception to come in to work on her day off where she reported live outside the political office which is again at the centre of the news agenda after Liz Truss issued her resignation from outside the very building on Thursday (October 20) after just 44 days in office.
She also took to social media with a selfie outside the famous location, writing: "Morning! At No 10 the day after the Prime Minister did her final u-turn and quit @gmb from 6am."
Returning from a break and a weather report from Laura Tobin at 7am, an hour into the last show of the week, Susanna appeared on-screen before Kate and Adil and said: "Good Morning Britain. Truss out, could Boris bounce back? The race is on for the country's third Prime Minister in just one year."
The GMB announcer then confirmed Susanna's appearance outside Downing Street and Kate and Adil's appearance in the studio. "Welcome to a special programme from Downing Street," Susanna then announced as she returned on air from her outdoor location which was being lit by a single light above the door of No.10.
During the show, Susanna spoke to Sir Keir Starmer for the first time since yesterday's latest government fallout and the Labour leader has said the departing PM should decline the allowance of up to £115,000 a year she will be entitled to as a former prime minister.
He told Susanna on GMB: "She should turn it down. I think that’s the right thing to do. She’s done 44 days in office, she’s not really entitled to it, she should turn it down and not take it."
