Susanna Reid is 'sacrificing extra work projects to put time into finding a new man'

Susanna Reid is reportedly looking for a new man as she re-evaluates her her work/life balance after lockdown.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 51, split from her partner of 16 years, journalist Dominic Cotton, back in 2014, just a few months after she made the final of Strictly Come Dancing with pro dancer Kevin Clifton.

The former couple, who never married, share three sons together - Sam, 19, Finn, 17, and Jack, 16 - and Susanna has stayed firm friends with her ex for the sake of their children, with the pair still living together in the same house.

Susanna started dating again, and in 2018, she confirmed she was in a relationship with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish, but their romance was short lived, and just a few months later, they parted ways.

Now, the TV presenter is keen to kickstart her love life once again, and according to Closer magazine, she’s re-evaluated her life following the strict Covid-19 lockdowns.

“She’s felt her entire life has centred on work for so long, and she wants to put herself and her family first,” a source told the outlet.

Susanna is reportedly overhauling her work life balance, and wants to cut back on her jam-packed schedule to free up some valuable time to spend with her family, and “put some time” into finding a new man.

“She’s hoping to spend the extra time she’ll have by sacrificing extra work projects to work on herself too, as well as her boys, and that includes dating,” the source added.

They said Susanna is hoping a “calmer schedule” will allow her to “put more time into finding Mr Right.”

Her career has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and she recently renewed her Good Morning Britain contract for a whopping £1.1 million.

The journalist has previously spoken about her fear of missing out on precious time with her sons before they head off to university, and she said she cried when her eldest son Sam left in 2020.

“There are moments when you think, ‘Why was I not present when they were tiny?’” Susanna sadly shared.

“I was around a lot for them, but sometimes you can regret you weren’t there playing with them every single moment of every single day. You have that kind of guilt,” she explained.

Susanna fuelled speculation she and Steve had rekindled their romance last summer, when they were spotted on several cosy dates.
