Surrey batsman Will Jacks struck six sixes in an over in a 25-ball century against Lancashire on Thursday morning.

Jacks is considered one of the most promising batsmen in the country and, in a 10-overs-per-side pre-season match in Dubai, took the Lancashire attack apart.

He ended with 105 from 29 deliveries, having reached his century in only 25 balls.

Jacks has haunted Lancashire before, taking a crucial catch to seal a six-run victory over the Red Rose in last season’s Division One campaign, a key result for Surrey en route to winning the County Championship.

He is the latest player to step off a production line that has produced recent England players Jason Roy, Rory Burns and Ollie Pope, as well as brothers Sam and Tom Curran.
