Sue Cleaver's Corrie star ex and Johnny Depp link as she goes 'missing' on I'm A Celeb

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! viewers have been left wondering just where one of the star campers has disappeared to.

Sue Cleaver, 59, routinely appears on TV several times a week thanks to playing Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street, but the soap legend is seemingly not getting as much screen time during her reality TV venture.

As the ITV show aired last night, following the news Love Island's Olivia Attwood had left the camp and was heading home early, many viewers took to social media to demand more Sue on on their screens.

"I didn't even realise Sue from Corrie was in the jungle she hasn't said much today I hope they give her more airtime #ImACeleb," one mused during last night's show, with another adding: "I wanna see the legend that is @Sue _Cleaver #ImACeleb."

Marriage to fellow soap star

Since joining the cast of Coronation Street in 2000, Sue has become a British soap legend thanks to her character Eileen's involvement in dramatic, history-making and often hilarious storylines.

The mum-of-one won praise in the early 00s thanks to her performances on the soap, as Eileen helped son Todd Grimshaw come to terms with his sexaulity and come out as gay.

Away from the cobbles, Sue is a proud mum to son Elliot and celebrated becoming a grandmother for the first time j ust days before landing Down Under last month ahead of her stint in the Australian jungle.

The actress shares her son with ex-husband James Quinn, who has appeared on a couple of soaps himself over the years.

Sue and James tied the knot in 1993, two years on from first meeting each other thanks to a play, but called time on their relationship 10-years later.

James has enjoyed four separate stints on Coronation Street - even appearing on the ITV soap before Sue took on the role of Eileen in 2000.

The actor played DS Willets on the long-running soap way back in 1989 and most recently popped up in Weatherfield in March 2018 when he had a cameo as part of evil Pat Phelan's storyline.

James has previously opened up about working alongside his ex-wife on Corrie after their split, telling The Manchester Evening News: "It’s quite funny to be doing this with Sue.

Soap fans may also recognise Sue's ex-husband from his bit-parts on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Kirk Benson and his four separate appearance on Corrie's Yorkshire-based rival, Emmerdale.

After splitting from James, Sue went on to find love with ITV lighting technician Brian Owen and it's believed the happy couple are currently married.
