Succession season 4, episode 3: our pick of the best fan reactions to the biggest episode ever

HUGE Succession season 1-4 spoilers below

Monday’s episode of Succession couldn’t have been bigger or more dramatic. Just fifteen minutes into the hour-long episode, Logan died.

The next 45 minutes seemed to seep into nothingness, perfectly encapsulating the way that time both stands still and disappears in times of tragedy. The kids spoke to their father through the phone while he was unconscious on the floor of his jet, a member of staff pumping his chest. They faltered as they scrambled for words – crying and murmuring I love you, then being furious at their father, to once again professing their love.

In many ways it mirrored the first ever episode – Kendall, kept demanding to speak to the pilot and called up his assistant asking her to organise a conference call with the best doctors in the world.

Honestly, the Succession writers couldn’t have given us a more desperately sad conclusion for Logan. There the Scottish titan was, away from his family, surrounded by his cronies as he departed from earth, several thousand feet above it.

The internet has of course been shaken by the events on Connor’s wedding day (yep, remember that?). Here are some of the best fan reactions and comments on the internet.

Firstly, people adored the episode

Connor, who has become increasingly fascinating in season 4, was one of the stars of episode 3

Those phone calls were truly devastating

Then, of course, there were the jokes

And there were more thoughtful comments too
