Subway brands customer a 'moaning minnie' while telling another they 'won’t be missed' after savage reviews

An Ayrshire Subway store has bit back at negative reviews left by disappointed customers.

The Kilmarnock sandwich shop has ditched the typical sheen and polish associated with customer service and decided that the customer is almost always wrong.

The Bank Street takeaway has been skewering customers after leaving a brutal reviews on Just Eat, where patrons can pick up food or have it delivered to their home.

One foodie was told they "wouldn't be missed" after leaving a scathing review while another diner was branded a 'moaning minnie' for detailing her woes.

The reviewer, known only as Angela, wrote: "Items missing and what arrived was cold even though it arrived 20 minutes early.

"Was told to walk back down and pick up missing items. Was substituted wedges instead of hash browns and I’d be lucky if there was only 10 wedges in the box.

"Fillings were absolutely shocking in the subs. Contacted Just Eat for a refund.”

Not one to mince words, Subway replied to the review simply with: “Moaning Minnie”.

Another customer named Melanie claimed that her order was wrong and the incorrect juice was sent too. She said she wouldn’t be ordering again.

Subway said in response that she "won't be missed" and that they were “sure everything was sent”.

Subway operates a franchise model across its stores. It remains unclear if the owner of the shop or an employee has been penning the replies to customers.

On another complaint about his cheesy pepperoni sub, reviewer David said there was no cheese or meatball sauce and that if you "blinked" you’d miss the pepperoni.

Subway took no prisoners in the response, saying: “Well blink again and the cheese and sauce might appear.”

Subway also appear to offer one customer a job after they pointed out their order was wrong again.

In response to David's review, Subway said: “Sorry about that once again we are experiencing staff issues.

"We are currently hiring so if you are looking for work why not apply and see if you can do much better than the staff we have. Have a lovely day.”

One foodie told how their order was missing a cookie.

Clearly not missing a sense of humour, the cheeky chap in charge of the Subway account responded: "Oh crumbs".

Subway have not responded to our request for comment.
