Stunning Shannon Treanor is looking for love on a new RTE show – and we bet she’s going to rock someone’s world.
The single mum is one of the hopefuls on Love Is In The Air, which kicks off on the RTE Player this Sunday.
Shannon, 25, says the new social distance dating show gave her the kick up to the bum to stop moping around.
She added: “I struggle sometimes being a single mom, it’s hard to motivate yourself to meet someone.
“When we went back into the second lockdown, I realised I was so lonely.
“I sometimes forget life is more than being a mum and minding my six-year-old son, Josh, 24/7.
“For a while, I totally forgot about the dating scene but then when lockdown happened, I thought, I really want to meet someone.
“It’s taught me if you want to find someone, you have to go out and look instead of moping around.”
In the show, which sees six couples take their first dates outside, Shannon hooks up with Will.
But he didn’t set her world alight.
Shannon said: “Will and I had totally different senses of humour, there were a lot of awkward silences, even though we had fun.
“We arrived to Kilare at 8am, it was very forced at the start to make conversation but then you forgot the cameras were there.
“I had met him and thought he was a good looking boy, but we just didn’t click. It was so cold on the date, we had a chat on the park bench and I was shaking.”
The Miss Bikini Ireland finalist explained she’s ambitious in mind and body: “I try to stay fit all year round, I eat well.
“I’ve a degree in psychology, but I’m working in sales at the moment as I want to go back and do my masters.”
For Dunboyne native Robyn Duffy, love blossomed on the RTE show.
Robyn, 24, told the Irish Mirror: “I went on a date with Kev, it was really cold but fun.
“The date was in the Phoenix Park on one of the coldest days, -2 degrees, trying to look attractive in five layers of clothes.
“It was my umberella that kept going inside out, it was really hard, we leaned in to talk but then we had to move away.
“He drove me home afterwards and I had to sit in the back with a face mask.
“He’s really good craic, he made me rethink what I want in a partner, he works with bands and he’s a real rocker boy.
“But once things settle again, I’d love to go on another date again.”
