A happy and excitable rescue dog has lost his spark after struggling to adapt alongside other dogs in the shelter.
Staff at Wild at Heart Foundation in Lebanon have noticed new cuts appear on his face and are desperate to find him a loving home.
The Labrador cross named Charlie used to be the “life and soul of the party” and always wanted to play with other dogs - but recently has been much sadder in himself.
“It’s such a shame as he was a fun and playful dog but has lost his spark after being in the shelter so long,” Jenni Musson from Wild at Heart Foundation said.
Jenni is hopeful Charlie will return to his usual cheeky self as soon as he escapes.

Charlie was found wounded and alone as a puppy on the streets of Lebanon in 2021.
He was rescued and taken to a clinic for emergency surgery, where fellow dog Gia donated blood that saved his life.
Charlie has been in the care of Wild at Heart Foundation for almost a year now and has started to be picked on by other dogs.
He is ready to travel to the UK as soon as somebody wants him.

Despite the cost of transporting him to the UK, Charlie is still “cheaper than buying a pedigree dog”.
The pooch is full of character and has a loving nature with all those he meets.
He is confident making friends with new people and adores tumbling around playing with his favourite toys.
The shelter describes him as an “excitable ball of fun” and says he can be a little too full-on for dogs that are not as playful as him.
Charlie is wary of some male dogs that are bigger than him, so would be best suited at home as an only dog or with a female dog.
He is looking for an active family in a rural area with no young children.
Potential adopts must commit to regular training sessions and activities to stimulate his brain.
If you would like to adopt Charlie, you can visit the Wild at Heart Foundation website .
